Tikkun: Repairing the Breach
Rabbi Robert Miller

One of the most misunderstood concepts of Yahweh is His
work of Tikkun - literally meaning, "repair" or
Tikkun Olam, “fixing the world.”
The first of Creation was Yahweh’s only begotten Son.
The “First born of creation,” is
“the image of the invisible Elohim,” the Son of
Yahweh called in Hebrew, the “Adam Kadmon.”
|
"He is the image (Adam Kadmon) of the
invisible Elohim (Ayn Sof),
the firstborn over all creation (Son of
Yahweh). For through Him all things were
created that are in heaven and that are on
earth, visible and invisible, whether
thrones or dominions or principalities or
powers. All things were created through Him
and for Him. And He is before all things,
and in Him all things consist. And He is the
head of the body, the Assembly, who is the
beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that
in all things He may have the preeminence
(Messiah)." Colossians 1:15-18 |
The first emanation to show forth out of the Heavenly
Father was the Adam Kadmon, the pre-incarnate Messiah.
Yahweh the Father, whose knowledge and capacity of
knowing is infinite, contemplates eternally His own
divine being, His own divine essence. The IDEA or IMAGE
or WORD conceived of Himself in His own divine mind is
an absolutely perfect living representation of the
Father. This living image of Himself which the Father
emanated from His divine Person, His bosom, is distinct
from the Father but completely dependent on Him. He is
the Father's only-begotten Son. As the writer to the
Hebrews expressed it, He is: “the
brightness of His glory and the express image of
[Yahweh’s] person (Hebrews 1:3).” He is the
“Repairer of the Breach,” even before there was a
“breach.” Blessed is Yahweh our Elohim Who
creates the remedy before the wound. It was from the
Adam Kadmon that tremendous light shown forth and
aligned itself into creation. It was through
“the image of the invisible
Elohim,” the Messiah, that Yahweh made all
things. The Adam Kadmon is the expression of Yahweh’s
complete Word.
"Who hath ascended up into heaven, or
descended? who hath gathered the wind in his
fists? Who hath bound the waters in a
garment? Who hath established all the ends
of the earth? What is his name, and what is
his son's name, if thou canst tell?"
Proverbs 30:4
“[Yahweh] has in these last days spoken to
us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of
all things, through whom also He made the
worlds; Who being the brightness of His
glory and the express image of His person,
and upholding all things by the word of His
power, when He had by Himself purged our
sins, sat down at the right hand of the
Majesty on high, having become so much
better than the angels, as He has by
inheritance obtained a more excellent name
than they."
Hebrews 1:2-4 |
Someone has been trying to keep this information from
us. It has been estimated that less than 10% of the
records of antiquity have come down to us. Most of the
ancient literature that could have been handed down to
us has been destroyed by fire, some accidental but most
by intentional fanaticism.
We lost the library at Persepolis,
the capital of Persia, when Alexander set fire to the
city. We lost the ancient literature of Phoenicia and
Carthage when the Romans set fire to the library in 146
BCE. And we lost the ancient records of the West in the
subsequent sackings of Rome and Constantinople.
Perhaps the greatest tragedy of lost
literature was the loss of the Royal Library of
Alexandria. The first destruction was under Julius
Caesar in 47 - 48 BCE. The Library survived and most of
its books restored. When the nations of the world heard
of its plight they sent many more books to be deposited
there.
Theophilus, the Patriarch of Alexandria, on
orders of Roman Emperor Theodosius the Great, during a
sermon in 391CE, incited a Christian mob into destroying
and sacking the Library because it contained Hebrew
books that would challenge Roman Catholic Doctrine.
Islam invaded Egypt during the seventh
century as their fanaticism carried them on conquests
that would form an empire stretching from Spain to
India. So what we are experiencing today is just the
latest wave of Moslem fanaticism. When a Christian
called John informed the local Arab general that there
existed in Alexandria a great Library preserving all the
knowledge in the world, he was perturbed. Eventually he
sent word to Damascus where Caliph Omar ordered that all
the books in the library should be destroyed because, as
he said "they will either contradict the Koran, in which
case they are heresy, or they will agree with it, so
they are superfluous." Therefore, the books and scrolls
were taken out of the library and distributed as fuel to
the many bathhouses of the city. So enormous was the
volume of literature that it took six months for it all
to be burnt to ashes heating the saunas of the
conquerors.
In this fire, we lost many of the books
mention in Scripture such as the Book of Jasher, Book of
Statutes, Book of Samuel the Seer, the Book of Nathan
the Prophet, the Chronicles of Solomon, the Book of
Shemaiah the Prophet, the Prophecy of Abijah, the Book
of Prophet Iddo, the Visions of Iddo the Seer, the
Genealogies as recorded by Iddo, the Book of Jehu, the
Sayings of the Seers, the Book of Gad the Seer, the
Chronicles of Uziah, the Annals of King David, the first
Epistle to Corinth written by Rabbi Sha’ul, another
Epistle to the Ephesians, an Epistle from Laodicea to
the Colossians, the Nazarene Prophecy Source quoted by
Rebbe YahShua in Matthew 2:23, and the Missing Epistle
of Netzarim Rabbi YaHudah, brother of the Messiah.
Let not your heart be troubled, Yahweh has
promised, “At that time… there
shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since
there was a nation, even to that time… Those who are
wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament,
and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars
forever and ever… until the time of the end; many shall
run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase. (Daniel
12:1-4)”
This is already starting to happen. In the
Judean desert in 1948 one of the greatest finds ever
occurred concerning the Faithful was the restoration of
the Book of Enoch mentioned in Jude 1:14 and quoted
throughout Scripture. Why was it discovered in 1948,
because “the fig tree put forth
leaves (Matthew 24:32),” Israel became a nation.
That meant the last generation had begun.
“Assuredly, I say to you, this
generation will by no means pass away till all these
things take place. (Matthew 24:34)”
And this is exactly who the Book of Enoch is address to,
“The words of the blessing of Enoch, wherewith he
blessed the elect and righteous, who will be living in
the day of tribulation, when all the wicked and godless
are to be removed…I heard everything, and…I understood
as I saw, but not for this generation, but for a remote
one which is for to come (1 Enoch 1:1-3).”
Fortunately, Yahweh has preserved His Word.
It is from the Word that we learn who has been trying to
keep from us the reality that our world is broken. That
person is the turncoat Helel ben Shahar, the
Lucifer. And it is from the Word that we learn of the
first shattering of Creation.
“In the beginning Elohim created the Heavens
and the Earth."
Genesis 1:1
“[Lucifer (Light bearer)] You
were the seal of perfection,
full of wisdom and perfect in
beauty…You were the anointed
Karuv (Guardian) who covers
(the Heavenly Throne); I
established you; you were on the
Holy Mountain of El
(Zion); you walked back and
forth in the midst of fiery
stones. You were perfect in your
ways from the day you were
created, till iniquity was found
in you…You were in Eden, the
Garden of El; every
precious stone was your
covering: the sardius, topaz,
and diamond, beryl, onyx, and
jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and
emerald with gold. The
workmanship of your timbrels and
pipes was prepared for you on
the day you were created."
Ezekiel 28:12,14,15,13
“Your heart was lifted up
because of your beauty; you
corrupted your wisdom for the
sake of your splendor… You
defiled your Sanctuaries (places
of angelic worship) by the
multitude of your iniquities, by
the iniquity of your trading…By
the abundance of your trading
you became filled with violence
within, and you sinned."
Ezekiel 28:17,18, 16
“…you have said in your heart:
‘I will ascend into Heaven, I
will exalt my throne above the
stars (angels) of El; I
will also sit on the Mount of
the Congregation on the farthest
sides of the north (of the
Universe); I will ascend above
the heights of the clouds, I
will be like El Elyon.'
Isaiah 14:13,14
“Therefore I cast you as a
profane thing out of the
Mountain of El; and I
destroyed you, O covering
Karuv, from the midst of the
fiery stones… I cast you to the
ground, I laid you before
(angelic) rulers, that they
might gaze at you… And I turned
you to ashes upon the earth in
the sight of all who saw you."
Ezekiel 28: 16,17,18
“How you are fallen from heaven,
O Lucifer, Helel ben Shahar!
How you are cut down to the
ground, you who weakened the
nations!..Yet you shall be
brought down to Sheol, to
the lowest depths of the Pit."
Isaiah 14:12,15
“All who knew you among the
peoples are astonished at you;
you have become a horror, and
shall be no more forever."
Ezekiel 28:19 |
“[Then] The earth was without form, and
void; and darkness was on the face of the
deep." Genesis 1:2 |
The darkness referred to is not merely the absence of
physical light, but is also SPIRITUAL darkness,
According to “The Torah Anthology,” the Hebrew word
translated "darkness" in this passage also alludes to
the "Death Angel," implying a SPIRITUAL significance of
a spiritual void and darkness enveloping the world at
this time, the complete loneliness of aloneness. This
taking away of the Divine Presence is called TzimTzum,
the constriction.
“I beheld the earth, and indeed it was
without form, and void; and the heavens,
they had no light. I beheld the mountains,
and indeed they trembled, and all the hills
moved back and forth. I beheld, and indeed
there was no one, and all the birds of the
heavens had fled. I beheld, and indeed the
fruitful land was a wilderness, and all its
cities were broken down at the presence of
Yahweh, by His fierce anger."
Jeremiah 4:23-26 |
Then Yahweh committed the first act of Tikkun, He
re-created. “And the Spirit of
Elohim was hovering over the face of the waters. Then
Elohim said, "Let there be light"; and there was light.
And Elohim saw the light, that it was good (Genesis
1:2,3).
Genesis 1:3 states that Yahweh created light on the
First Day of creation, yet the sun, moon and stars
(which provide light to our planet) were not created
until the Fourth Day (Genesis 1:14-19). The question is:
How could there be light before the sun existed?
The first thing Elohim brought back to creation was the
Divine Light. Rabbi Michael L. Munk in “The Wisdom of
the Hebrew Alphabet” (p.174), refers to it as the
"Primeval Light" -- and that it was spiritual in nature.
The Prophet Isaiah says when Tikkun is
established and the Kingdom restored, the Divine Light
will return.
“Moreover the light of the moon will be as
the light of the sun, and the light of the
sun will be sevenfold, as the light of seven
days, in the day that Yahweh binds up the
bruise of His people and heals the stroke of
their wound."
Isaiah 30:26 |
In the following days Yahweh created everything. But
it was on the sixth day, Yahweh made the crowning
achievement of creation, mankind.
“Then Elohim said, "Let Us make
man in Our image, according to Our
likeness; let them have dominion over
the fish of the sea, over the birds of
the air, and over the cattle, over all
the earth and over every creeping thing
that creeps on the earth." So Elohim
created man in His own image; in the
image of Elohim He created him;
male and female He created them. Then
Elohim blessed them, and Elohim
said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply;
fill the earth and subdue it; have
dominion over the fish of the sea, over
the birds of the air, and over every
living thing that moves on the earth.’
Genesis 1:26,28 |
Yahweh created mankind by His Divine Light of His Word.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word
was with Elohim, and the Word was
Elohim. He was in the beginning with
Elohim. All things were made through
Him, and without Him nothing was made that
was made. In Him was life, and the life was
the light of men. And the light shines in
the darkness, and the darkness did not
comprehend it."
John 1:1-5 |
Yahweh is the Father of Lights.
“Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is
from above, and comes down from the Father
of lights, with whom there is no variation
or shadow of turning. Of His own will He
brought us forth by the word of truth, that
we might be a kind of firstfruits of His
creatures."
James 1:16-18 |
The first human, Adam, the Almighty's own direct
handiwork, was created flawless,
"In the image of Elohim, He created him."
Then, Adam and Chavah (Eve)
disobeyed the command of Elohim,
"Of the fruit of the tree of the
knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the
day that you eat of it you shall die." (Genesis 2:17).
Chavah was tempted by a serpent, a manifestation
of the Devil, to eat the fruit of the tree ("you will
not die, you will be just like Elohim"). After
she did, she convinced Adam to eat of it as well and
mankind fell from grace. As Yahweh was literally pouring
His Light into these vessels, they catastrophically
shattered, tumbling down toward the realm of the
material, death. Thus our great task involves assisting
Yahweh by freeing and reuniting the scattered vessels,
raising the sparks, their spirit, back to Covenant and
restoring the Kingdom and fixing the broken world.
Yahweh committed another act of Tikkun,
the promise of the coming Redeemer,
“I will put enmity between you
(Devil) and the woman, and between your seed and her
Seed; He (Messiah) shall bruise your head, and you shall
bruise His heel (Yakkov – the Redemption of Israel)."
(Genesis 3:15)”
|
“Then you shall call, and Yahweh will
answer; you shall cry, and He will say,
"Here I am.'
If you take away the yoke from your midst,
the pointing of the finger, and speaking
wickedness, if you extend your soul to the
hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, then
your light shall dawn in the darkness, and
your darkness shall be as the noonday.
Yahweh will guide you continually, and
satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen
your bones; you shall be like a watered
garden, and like a spring of water, whose
waters do not fail. Those from among you
shall build the old waste places; you shall
raise up the foundations of many
generations; and you shall be called the
‘Repairer of the Breach,’ ‘The Restorer of
Streets to Dwell In."
Isaiah 58:9-12 |
Uniquely, the hand of Elohim formed man. The
Scriptures say that Elohim formed it from the
dust of the ground. We know that the dust of the earth
is composed of about twenty chemicals. Scientists tell
us that all twenty of those chemical substances are
found in the human body. “[Yahweh]
knows how we are formed, He remembers that we are dust.
( Psalm 103:14)” In the human body, there are
more than 70 trillion parts we call cells. While the
whole of creation was spoken into existence, man was
intimately and lovingly formed. Then, as man took form
Elohim placed His lips over our lips and breathed
life into us.
“And Yahweh Elohim formed man of the
dust of the ground, and breathed into his
nostrils the breath of life; and man became
a living soul.
Genesis 2:7
“…Thus says Yahweh, who stretches out the
heavens, lays the foundation of the earth,
and forms the spirit of man within him."
Zechariah 12:1 |
So our body is the Tabernacle or Temple , our soul is
the Sanctuary and our spirit is our Holy of Holies.
“Now we know that if the earthly Tabernacle
we live in is destroyed, we have a building
from Yahweh, an eternal house in heaven, not
built by human hands. (2 Corinthians 5:1)”
“Know ye not that ye are the Temple of
Yahweh, and that the Spirit of Yahweh
dwelleth in you? If any man defile the
Temple of Yahweh, him shall Yahweh destroy;
for the Temple of Yahweh is holy, which
temple ye are."
1 Corinthians 3:16,17
“What? know ye not that your body is the
Temple of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy
Spirit) which is in you, which ye have of
Yahweh, and ye are not your own? For ye are
bought with a price: therefore glorify
Yahweh in your body, and in your spirit,
which are Yahweh's.
1 Corinthians 6:19,20
“I praise you because I am fearfully and
wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful,
I know that full well."
Psalm 103:14 |
Yahweh placed in the soul of man a heart. Yahweh gave
man a heart so that he could love Yahweh. We are not
talking about the organ that pumps blood, but about the
seat of your passions, what you feel in your soul, your
emotions, and your thoughts. We are talking about the
very intentions of your heart. Yahweh gave the man the
capacity to feel the emotions that Yahweh Himself feels.
Yahweh loves, hates, rejoices, and feels sorrow and
compassion. Therefore Yahweh placed within the soul of
man a heart capable of feeling emotions such as love and
hate. Yahweh wants man to love what He loves and hate
what He hates. Yahweh wants us to love Him with all our
heart.
“Rebbe YahShua answered him, "The first of
all the commandments is: "Hear, O Israel,
Yahweh our Elohim, Yahweh is one. And
you shall love Yahweh your Elohim
with all your heart, with all your soul,
with all your mind, and with all your
strength.' This is the first commandment."
Mark 12:29,30 |
The Divine spark, the residue of the Spirit breathed
into us became our spirit and it lies deep within our
souls. That spark is our conscience, through which the
promptings of the Divine Will as expressed in the Torah
flow toward us.
“Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one
man, and death through sin, and in this way death came
to all men, because all sinned-- for before the Torah
was given, sin was in the world. But sin is not taken
into account when there is no Torah. Nevertheless, death
reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even
over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did
Adam, who was a pattern of the one to come.
But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the
many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more
did Yahweh's grace and the gift that came by the grace
of the one man, Messiah YahShua, overflow to the many!
Again, the gift of Yahweh is not like the result of the
one man's sin: the judgment followed one sin and brought
condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and
brought justification. For if, by the trespass of the
one man, death reigned through that one man, how much
more will those who receive Yahweh's abundant provision
of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life
through the one man, Messiah YahShua.
Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was
condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act
of righteousness was justification that brings life for
all men. For just as through the disobedience of the one
man the many were made sinners, so also through the
obedience of the one man the many will be made
righteous.
"The Torah was added so that the trespass
might be exposed. But where sin increased,
grace increased all the more, so that, just
as sin reigned in death, so also grace might
reign through righteousness to bring eternal
life through Messiah YahShua our King."
Romans 5:12-21 |
Not all of Adam's children fanned the spark of his
spirit. The first murder gives us further evidence that
the fall of Adam and Chavah from the innocence of the
garden---was a fall into a total environment of the
influence of depravity and the state of being lost. The
angels that fell with Lucifer sought opportunities to
minister evil to the sons and daughters of mankind. Cain
did not have to be taught how to sin. Evil sprang from
the wellsprings of his heart spontaneously. Several
thousand years later Messiah YahShua taught,
"What comes out of a man is what defiles a
man. For from within, out of the heart of
man, come evil thoughts, fornication, theft,
murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness,
deceit, licentiousness, envy, slander,
pride, foolishness. All these evil things
come from within, and they defile a man."
Mark 7:20-23 |
The next shattering of Creation was the murder of Abel
by Cain. The murder was over the Presence.
|
“…in
the process of time it came to pass that
Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the
ground to Yahweh. Abel also brought of the
firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And
Yahweh respected Abel and his offering, but
He did not respect Cain and his offering.
And Cain was very angry, and his countenance
fell.
So Yahweh said to Cain, "Why are you angry?
And why has your countenance fallen? If you
do well, will you not be accepted? And if
you do not do well, sin lies at the door.
And its desire is for you, but you should
rule over it."
Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and
it came to pass, when they were in the
field, that Cain rose up against Abel his
brother and killed him.
Genesis 4:3-8 |
When the murder of Abel came to light, Cain grieved the
loss of Yahweh’s Presence and despaired his chances of
surviving the vengeance of other family members who
would surely seek his life when his murder of his
brother became public knowledge. Rather than bringing
immediate justice to Cain, judgment upon him was delayed
by Yahweh's longsuffering mercy. Cain was given a pledge
of Yahweh's protection.
“[Yahweh] said, "What have you done? The
voice of your brother's blood cries out to
Me from the ground. So now you are cursed
from the earth, which has opened its mouth
to receive your brother's blood from your
hand. When you till the ground, it shall no
longer yield its strength to you. A fugitive
and a vagabond you shall be on the earth."
And Cain said to Yahweh, "My punishment is
greater than I can bear! Surely You have
driven me out this day from the face of the
ground; I shall be hidden from Your face; I
shall be a fugitive and a vagabond on the
earth, and it will happen that anyone who
finds me will kill me."
And Yahweh said to him, "Therefore, whoever
kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him
sevenfold." And Yahweh set a mark on Cain,
lest anyone finding him should kill him.
Genesis 4:10-15
"By faith Abel offered to Yahweh a more
acceptable sacrifice than Cain, through
which he received approval as righteous,
Yahweh bearing witness by accepting his
gifts; he died, but through his faith he is
still speaking."
Hebrews 11:4
"...[be] not like Cain who was of the evil
one and murdered his brother. And why did he
murder him? Because his own deeds were evil
and his brother's righteous."
1 John 3:12
"...that upon you [self righteous] may come
all the righteous blood shed on earth, from
the blood of innocent Abel to the blood of
Zechariah ben Barachiah, whom you murdered
between the Sanctuary and the Altar."
Matthew 23:35 |
Forsaking the ways of his farming father, Cain, a
condemned murderer, built the first city before the
Flood.
After Cain and Abel, only one of Adam's sons sought the
Divine nature; the rest lacked this wisdom.
“And
Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and
begot a son in his own likeness, after his
image, and named him Seth."
Genesis 5:3 |
Then, "he had sons and
daughters" Neither the names of these "sons and
daughters," nor the fact that they possessed any
spiritual likeness to Adam is mentioned in the verse.
This is evidence that they did not seek the Presence.
Enosh was a righteous man and accepted the Torah from
his father, Seth, while the rest of Seth's sons did not.
In this manner the Divine Light of Shekinah was
passed down generation after generation until it finally
reached Noah.
“Noah was a just man, perfect in his
generations. Noah walked with Elohim."
Genesis 6:9 |
Then
came another shattering:
“When men began to increase in number on
the earth and daughters were born to
them, the sons of Elohim saw that
the daughters of men were beautiful, and
they married any of them they chose.
Then Yahweh said, "My Spirit will not
contend with man forever, for he is
mortal; his days will be a hundred and
twenty years."
The Nephilim were on the earth in
those days-and also afterward-when the
sons of Elohim went to the
daughters of men and had children by
them. They were the heroes of old, men
of renown."
Genesis 6:1-4 |
“And
it came to pass when the children of men
had multiplied that in those days were
born unto them beautiful and comely
daughters. And the angels, the children
of the heaven, saw and lusted after
them, and said to one another: 'Come,
let us choose us wives from among the
children of men and beget us children.'
And ShamChazYah, who was their
leader, said unto them: 'I fear ye will
not, indeed agree to do this deed, and I
alone shall have to pay the penalty of a
great sin.' And they all answered him
and said: 'Let us all swear an oath, and
all bind ourselves by mutual
imprecations not to abandon this plan
but to do this thing.' Then sware they
all together and bound themselves by
mutual imprecations upon it. And they
were in all two hundred; who descended
in the days of Yared on the
summit of Mount Hermon, and they called
it Mount Hermon, because they had sworn
and bound themselves by mutual
imprecations upon it. And these are the
names of their leaders: ShemChazYah,
their leader, Araklba, Rame’El,
KokablEl, TamlEl, Ram’El, DanEl,
Ezeqe’El, BaraqiyEl, AsaEl, Armaros,
BatarEl, AnanEl, Zaq1El, Samsape’El,
SatarEl, TureEl, YomyaEl, SariEl.
These are their chiefs of tens.
Enoch 6
“And Uriel said to me: 'Here shall stand
the angels who have connected themselves
with women, and their spirits assuming
many different forms are defiling
mankind and shall lead them astray into
sacrificing to demons as gods, (here
shall they stand,) till the day of the
great judgment in which they shall be
judged till they are made an end of. And
the women also of the angels who went
astray shall become sirens.' And I,
Enoch, alone saw the vision, the ends of
all things: and no man shall see as I
have seen.
Enoch 19 |
In the Book of Jubilees we are told that Yahweh sent the
Angels down to mankind to teach them Torah and it is
while doing this that they find themselves attracted to
women and lusted after them and seduced them.
As recounted in the Dead Sea Scrolls:
'.....In the days of Yared', two hundred Watchers
'descended' on 'Ardis', the summit of Mount Hermon - a
location equated with the triple peak of Jebel esh
Sheikh (9,200 feet), placed in the most northerly region
of ancient Israel. On this mountain the Watchers swear
an oath and bind themselves by 'mutual imprecations',
apparently knowing full well the consequences their
actions will have both for themselves and for humanity
as a whole. It is a pact commemorated in the name given
to the place of their 'fall', for in Hebrew the word
Hermon, translates as 'curse''. 'In time, each of the
200 took an earthly spouse. These unions produced
children of extraordinary size, who quickly devoured the
world's food. To satisfy their enormous appetites, the
angel-children roamed the earth, slaughtering every
species of bird, beast, reptile and fish. Finally, the
ravenous creatures turned on one another, stripping
flesh from the bones of their fellows and slaking their
thirst in rivers of blood. As this wave of destruction
washed over the earth, the anguished cries of humankind
reached four powerful Archangels - Uriel, Raphael,
Gabriel, and Michael - who upon orders from Yahweh
enacted a swift retribution. First Uriel descended to
earth to warn Noah of a coming deluge, advising him to
prepare an ark to carry his family and a menagerie of
creatures to safety. Raphael then fell upon the leader
of the Watchers (called ShemChazYaza), bound him
hand and foot, and thrust him into eternal darkness.
Next, Gabriel charged with slaying the dissenters'
offspring, encouraged the monstrous angel-children to
fight one another. Finally, Michael trussed up the
remaining Watchers, forced them to witness the deaths of
their progeny, and condemned them to eternal torment.
Only then did the heavens open up and wash away the last
traces of the destruction that the fallen angels had
wrought.'
“And Elohim said to Noah, "The end of
all flesh has come before Me, for the earth
is filled with violence through them; and
behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make
rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and
outside with pitch. And this is how you
shall make it: The length of the ark shall
be three hundred cubits, its width fifty
cubits, and its height thirty cubits. You
shall make a window for the ark, and you
shall finish it to a cubit from above; and
set the door of the ark in its side. You
shall make it with lower, second, and third
decks. And behold, I Myself am bringing
floodwaters on the earth, to destroy from
under heaven all flesh in which is the
breath of life; everything that is on the
earth shall die. But I will establish My
covenant with you; and you shall go into the
ark--you, your sons, your wife, and your
sons' wives with you. And of every living
thing of all flesh you shall bring two of
every sort into the ark, to keep them alive
with you; they shall be male and female. Of
the birds after their kind, of animals after
their kind, and of every creeping thing of
the earth after its kind, two of every kind
will come to you to keep them alive. And you
shall take for yourself of all food that is
eaten, and you shall gather it to yourself;
and it shall be food for you and for them."
Thus Noah did; according to all that
Elohim commanded him, so he did.
(Genesis 6:13-22)”
“Then Yahweh said to Noah, "Come into the
ark, you and all your household, because I
have seen that you are righteous before Me
in this generation. You shall take with you
seven each of every clean animal, a male and
his female; two each of animals that are
unclean, a male and his female; also seven
each of birds of the air, male and female,
to keep the species alive on the face of all
the earth. For after seven more days I will
cause it to rain on the earth forty days and
forty nights, and I will destroy from the
face of the earth all living things that I
have made." And Noah did according to all
that Yahweh commanded him. Noah was six
hundred years old when the floodwaters were
on the earth"
Genesis 7:1-6 |
Again the Creation experienced TzimTzum, the
taking away of the Presence. But this was only a partial
TzimTzum because the Presence went with Noah into
the Ark.
“Now the flood was on the earth forty days.
The waters increased and lifted up the ark,
and it rose high above the earth. The waters
prevailed and greatly increased on the
earth, and the ark moved about on the
surface of the waters. And the waters
prevailed exceedingly on the earth, and all
the high hills under the whole heaven were
covered.
The waters prevailed fifteen cubits upward,
and the mountains were covered. And all
flesh died that moved on the earth: birds
and cattle and beasts and every creeping
thing that creeps on the earth, and every
man. All in whose nostrils was the breath of
the spirit of life, all that was on the dry
land, died. So He destroyed all living
things which were on the face of the ground:
both man and cattle, creeping thing and bird
of the air. They were destroyed from the
earth. Only Noah and those who were with him
in the ark remained alive. And the waters
prevailed on the earth one hundred and fifty
days.
Genesis 7:17-24
“Then Elohim remembered Noah, and
every living thing, and all the animals that
were with him in the ark. And Elohim
made a wind to pass over the earth, and the
waters subsided… Then Elohim spoke to
Noah, saying, ‘Go out of the ark, you and
your wife, and your sons and your sons'
wives with you. Bring out with you every
living thing of all flesh that is with you:
birds and cattle and every creeping thing
that creeps on the earth, so that they may
abound on the earth, and be fruitful and
multiply on the earth."…Then Noah built an
altar to Yahweh, and took of every clean
animal and of every clean bird, and offered
burnt offerings on the altar And Yahweh
smelled a soothing aroma. Then Yahweh said
in His heart, "I will never again curse the
ground for man's sake, although the
imagination of man's heart is evil from his
youth; nor will I again destroy every living
thing as I have done.
Genesis 6:1,15,16,20,21 |
Then Yahweh commits
another act of Tikkun, He makes a New Covenant
with mankind.
“Then Elohim spoke to Noah and to his
sons with him, saying: "And as for Me,
behold, I establish My covenant with you and
with your descendants after you, and with
every living creature that is with you: the
birds, the cattle, and every beast of the
earth with you, of all that go out of the
ark, every beast of the earth. Thus I
establish My covenant with you: Never again
shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of
the flood; never again shall there be a
flood to destroy the earth."
And Elohim said: "This is the sign of
the covenant which I make between Me and
you, and every living creature that is with
you, for perpetual generations: I set My
rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for
the sign of the covenant between Me and the
earth. It shall be, when I bring a cloud
over the earth, that the rainbow shall be
seen in the cloud; and I will remember My
covenant which is between Me and you and
every living creature of all flesh; the
waters shall never again become a flood to
destroy all flesh. The rainbow shall be in
the cloud, and I will look on it to remember
the everlasting covenant between Elohim
and every living creature of all flesh that
is on the earth."
Genesis 9:8-16 |
It did not take long for
mankind to fracture the Covenant but this time it was
done with a flare of arrogance. Nimrod, a wild rebel
against Yahweh's rule in his life, built the first city
after the flood. Even today, mankind is not ready to
live in a city.
“Now the whole earth had one language and
one speech. And it came to pass, as they
journeyed from the east, that they found a
plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt
there. Then they said to one another, "Come,
let us make bricks and bake them
thoroughly." They had brick for stone, and
they had asphalt for mortar. And they said,
"Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a
tower whose top is in the heavens; let us
make a name for ourselves, lest we be
scattered abroad over the face of the whole
earth."
But Yahweh came down to see the city and the
tower which the sons of men had built. And
Yahweh said, "Indeed the people are one and
they all have one language, and this is what
they begin to do; now nothing that they
propose to do will be withheld from them.
Come, let Us go down and there confuse their
language, that they may not understand one
another's speech." So Yahweh scattered them
abroad from there over the face of all the
earth, and they ceased building the city.
Therefore its name is called Babel, because
there Yahweh confused the language of all
the earth; and from there Yahweh scattered
them abroad over the face of all the earth.
Genesis 11:1-9 |
Shem, who was the MelekiTzadik of the Zadokite
Priesthood, passed on the realization of the Spirit of
Elohim and the Torah to the Patriarch Abraham.
From Abraham it continued in Isaac, but not to his other
offspring; from Isaac it was passed on to Jacob, but not
to Esau. In Jacob, the Divine Presence reached such
forceful intensity that it became the inheritance of
Israel for all generations. This unique attribute is
called "Segulat Yisrael."
Israel as an active agent of Tikkun was to be
the priests of all Creation. “…you
shall be to Me a Kingdom of Priests and a holy nation.'
These are the words which you shall speak to the
children of Israel." (Exodus 19:6)”
Yahweh gave Israel a detailed Covenant to maintain them
as a priestly nation and entrusted them with the Torah,
uniquely ordaining Judah for that Duty. Israel promised,
“All that Elohim has
spoken, we will do and we will hear.' (Exodus 24:7)”
“The sceptre shall not depart from Judah,
nor a Torahgiver from between his feet,
until Shiloh come; and unto him shall
the gathering of the people be."
Genesis 49:10
“What advantage then hath the Jew? or what
profit is there of circumcision? Much every
way: primarily, because that unto them were
committed the oracles of Yahweh."
Romans 3:1,2
“Ye worship ye know not what: we know what
we worship: for salvation is of the Jews."
John 4:22 |
Yahweh anointed the
leadership of Tikkun with His Ruach HaKodesh.
“Gather to Me seventy men of the elders of
Israel, whom you know to be the elders of
the people and officers over them; bring
them to the Tabernacle of Meeting, that they
may stand there with you. Then I will come
down and talk with you there. I will take of
the Spirit that is upon you and will put the
same upon them; and they shall bear the
burden of the people with you, that you may
not bear it yourself alone…So Moses went out
and told the people the words of Yahweh, and
he gathered the seventy men of the elders of
the people and placed them around the
Tabernacle. Then Yahweh came down in the
cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the
Spirit that was upon him, and placed the
same upon the seventy elders; and it
happened, when the Spirit rested upon them,
that they Il Sof (incomprehensible
speech), and did not cease. But two men had
remained in the camp: the name of one was
Eldad, and the name of the other Medad. And
the Spirit rested upon them. Now they were
among those listed, but who had not gone out
to the Tabernacle; yet they prophesied in
the camp. And a young man ran and told
Moses, and said, "Eldad and Medad are
prophesying in the camp." So Joshua ben Nun,
Moses' assistant, one of his choice men,
answered and said, "Moses my lord, forbid
them!" Then Moses said to him, "Are you
zealous for my sake? Oh, that all the
Yahweh's people were prophets and that
Yahweh would put His Spirit upon them!" And
Moses returned to the camp, he and the
elders of Israel.
Numbers 11 |
In Exodus 15:13, they sang that Yahweh would guide them,
"In
your unfailing love you will lead the people you have
redeemed. In your strength you will guide them to your
holy dwelling.”
It was another act of Tikkun when the
construction plans for the Tabernacle were actually
revealed, the Tabernacle was to have the Divine Light,
Shekinah dwell among His redeemed people.
"Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and
I will dwell among them. ... I will meet
with you and give you all my commands for
the Israelites.
Exodus 25:8, 22 |
Israel
built the container for the Divine Light or Presence now
all they had to do was keep Covenant and teach mankind
to do so. Unfortunately, Israel did not keep Covenant
and so the Presence was withdrawn.
“Now the glory of the Elohim of
Israel had gone up from (between) the Karuv,
where it had been, to the threshold of the
Temple. And He called to the man clothed
with linen, who had the writer's inkhorn at
his side; and Yahweh said to him, "Go
through the midst of the city, through the
midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the
foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over
all the abominations that are done within
it."
Ezekiel 9:3,4 |
And all of Creation stayed in this broken state until
the coming of Messiah. That is not to say there were no
righteous people keeping covenant;
“…I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have
not bowed the knee to the image of Ba’al. Even so then
at this present time also there is a remnant according
to the election of grace. ( Romans 11:3-5)”
Israel was broken, the priesthood was broken, the Temple
was broken, and Covenant was shattered. Somehow, Yahweh
had to enter His Creation and repair it.
“There was a man sent from Yahweh, whose
name was Rav Yochannan (John the
Baptist). This man came for a witness, to
bear witness of the Light, that all through
him might believe. He was not that Light,
but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
That was the true Light which gives light to
every man coming into the world.
He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the
world did not know Him. He came to His idea
and His own idea could not contain Him. But
as many as received Him, to them He gave the
right to become children of Yahweh, to those
who believe in His name: who were born, not
of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor
of the will of man, but of Yahweh.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld
His glory, the glory as of the only begotten
of the Father, full of grace and truth. Rav
Yochannan bore witness of Him and cried out,
saying, "This was He of whom I said, "He who
comes after me is preferred before me, for
He was before me."'
And of His fullness we have all received,
and grace for grace. For the Torah was given
through Moses, but grace and truth came
through Messiah YahShua. No one has seen
Yahweh at any time. The only begotten Son,
who is in the bosom of the Father, He has
declared Him." John 1:6-18 |
Rav Yochannan haTivilah (John the Baptist)
prophesied that the Messiah would come and,
"He will immerse you with the
Ruach haKodesh" (Matthew 3:11; Mark 1:8; Luke
3:16; cf. also John 1:33). At the conclusion of His
earthly ministry, Messiah YahShua referred to Rav
Yochannan’s statement, “for Rav
Yochannan truly immersed with water, but you shall be
immersed with the Ruach haKodesh not many days from now.
(Acts 1:5)” Messiah YahShua promised the
Messianic Believers upon his ascension,
“…being assembled together with
them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem,
but to wait for the Promise of the Father… you shall
receive power when the Ruach haKodesh has come upon you;
and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in
all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.
(Acts 1:4,8)” Acts 2:4 states,
"All of them were filled with the
Ruach haKodesh," on the Day of Shavuot.
As the Divine Presence withdrew, TzimTzum, from
Creation, it returned in the ministry of the Netzarim
restoring the Commonwealth of Israel.
“…you are a chosen generation, a
royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people,
that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you
out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9)”
Once again the Commonwealth of Israel is called
to be the priesthood of all mankind, the repairer of the
breach, the agency of the Divine Light.
”…this Full Messianic Message of the Kingdom
will be preached in all the world as a
witness to all the nations, and then the end
will come.
Matthew 24:14 |
This is our witness, we are not going to Heaven, Heaven
is coming down to us. New Zion is returning to us with
the unfractured Divine Light.
“I
saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the
first heaven and the first earth had passed
away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw
the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming
down out of Heaven from Yahweh, prepared as
a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.
And I heard a loud voice from the throne
saying, "Now the dwelling of Yahweh is with
men, and he will live with them. They will
be his people, and Yahweh Himself will be
with them and be their Elohim. He
will wipe every tear from their eyes. There
will be no more death or mourning or crying
or pain, for the old order of things has
passed away." He who was seated on the
throne said, "I am making everything new!"…
I did not see a Temple in the city, because
the Sovereign Yahweh Almighty and the Lamb
are its Temple. The city does not need the
sun or the moon to shine on it, for the
glory of Yahweh gives it light, and the Lamb
is its lamp. The nations will walk by its
light, and the kings of the earth will bring
their splendor into it."
